Socializing a dog can be tricky business, Usually a puppy should be kept in the litter with its kit for at least two months before being given away, so that way it learns the necessary bite inhibition and other doggie manners early on. The puppy must be sure to have all its required shots before being taken out in public where it can really benefit from meeting other dogs and people.

Every dog is different, so it is important for the pack leader to know how the puppy’s personality will develop and what kind of traits the owner will have to respond to. According to puppy training, puppyhood is a relatively short span in the dogs life, but it is the most vital and as it grows older in it’s different stages of development, it is not much unlike that of a child and being the pack leader means being a strong, stable, and consistent owner to raise and teach the puppy to become a well behaved dog. A leader must be confident and firm when laying out the basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” “down,” “come,” etc. and the rules, boundaries, and limitations for the foundation of the road into the dog’s disciplined adult life.

Puppy training is effective and practical so that anybody with some understanding about their own dog can accomplish simple training.

The dog whisperer, has perfected a method of puppy training that is so simple and direct and covers all the important aspects when trying to raise a good dog. Puppy training states that training starts on day one when the young pup is brought home; housebreaking, how and when to socialize, and certain “good” habits are to be taught to counter the “bad” behaviors. To wait until the puppy has developed unwanted behavior and then try and correct it is often very frustrating, Puppy training hits the nail in solid before it comes loose by first training the puppy actions that the owner wants to see, and then correct the unwanted. Housebreaking, for example, can be taught early on by taking the pup outside regularly and praising and rewarding it when it goes, but not when it does its business indoors. Constant rewards for good behaviors but withhold for bad, this teaches the puppy to want to please the owner
